I didn't give a star rating cuz I just can't decide what to rate it. It's not a 4 or 5 star read to me but when I rate something 3, it means I didn't enjoy it much and I'm not sure that's true.

I thoroughly love Marley Valentine books. She is the queen of emotional damage and I love it.

This one missed the mark a little for me. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it. I listened to the audio and the narrators were amazing. Teddy and Gomez did a phenomenal job. Marley’s writing is beautiful.

The story though.

Unnecessary drama. Drawn out angst that in my opinion wasn’t necessary. The HEA was so hard in this one. I don’t hate that by any means but this on was just a bit too much for me.

I don’t mind the cheating and I don’t think the cheated on SO was portrayed as awful or anything like some reviews but she was dumb. She knew the whole time. So why didn’t she save herself the heartache? Who knows.

Spoiler part—

The whole amnesia trope drives me a bit batty. So maybe that’s why I felt the drama was so unnecessary because the amnesia trope is cheap to me.
