This is the first true crime book I’ve read that REALLY centers the victims and heroes, instead of the vile murderer and their acts.
It was refreshing, and heartbreaking, and inspiring.

The writing was excellent and the narrative jump back and forth done well. The story was really compelling and, unfortunately, not one I’d really heard. I think it’s important for anyone who enjoys true crime to read this book or something like it. Because this is the story worth telling.
