The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

5.0

This was my first time reading the work of Dame Christie and it certainly did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the novel was to read, and I found myself more engrossed in a book than I have been in a long time. The ending was completely unexpected yet, when the guilty party’s motive is explained, is completely justified. I’m extremely excited to read more of Christie’s work in future and I will definitely be rereading this novel as well. A perfectly executed whodunit.
