Nea has been forced to team up with her biggest rival and critic from the academy, Kaden.  He always had a smart comment to make, or an insult because she was always studying.  But with her father being anything other than the best was not an option.

Kaden went from the orphanage to being one of the Oronis' top spies.  He may have came from nothing but now he has worth - but still he has this burning need to impress others - well one other, Nea!

Gek’Dragan are still on the run with the abducted Knight Queen and her personal guard, Sten.  Nea and Kaden are following some leads to find them.  but sadly they always seem to come up short.  These leads take them to some dodgy places in the galaxy (think Mos Eisley Cantina bad).

Nea is smart, strong-willed and thorough.  Kaden is sly, cunning, street-smart and willing to break a few rules to get what he wants. I loved the way they just melded into the small Terran crew that are assisting them. The backstory between Kaden and Nea goes beyond the usual "boys don't know what to do with feelings". Kaden has a real need to please and save Nea.

Kaden may be super protective of Nea but he is well aware of her talents and skills and wants to fight at her side.

Can't wait to see what Carys and Sten are getting themselves into next.
