After I read The Beekeeper of Aleppo, I knew I wanted to read more of what Christy Lefteri has written, so I grabbed a copy of Songbirds. It was more mysterious than Beekeeper, but no less tragic and certainly no less important. What I really appreciate about Lefteri's writing style is that she informs while keeping me glued to to the pages, in love with her characters and wanting to know what happens to them next. Her ability to lace real-world stories in with the fictional is top-notch, and I can't wait to read her next book.
