Act Your Age by Eve Dangerfield

5.0

This is a book I'd normally be embarrassed to admit I love solely because of the kink, but eff it - I'm in love with this book and I could rave about it for hours. It's so much more than just a kink, so don't let that drive you away (it almost did for me!) I don't recall the last book I read that showcased ADHD to the point of subtly incorporated it into a supporting character and, as someone with Kate's exact inattentive subtype of ADHD, I was blown away. I relate to Kate, again, more than I'd like to admit and was happy to see her progress and stand up for herself in the final act.

The only aspect I didn't care for was the Maria subplot. I could understand the importance behind incorporating it (to showcase Kate's submissive tendencies), but I feel like her relationship with Ty explains it pretty well. Anyways.

Even though I love this book to death, it always leaves me feeling heartbroken and hollow for a few days after finishing despite its happy end, but that's the sign of an incredible book and incredible art.
