One of the tropes of urban fantasy seems to be the Dan Brown-esque pacing -- we see it with Dresden, Swift, Castor... Ok, so it mostly affects male protagonists.
My problem with this Kitty tale was that it fell in that trap. Very little build up to a whole lot of frantic action that occurred during a single, seemingly endless 36-hour period in story time.
Otherwise, I liked the new elements introduced, though I'm still not thrilled with the direction she chose to keep Cormac relevant without violating his parole. Not a bad story, but not the best in the series.
