The Hound by H.P. Lovecraft

1.0

Having published as many stories as he has, it was inevitable to have a few that are just outright boring and I think that this is one of them. There are no redeeming qualities about it, the descriptions are vague and make for an uninteresting world, the premise feels as if he had used it somewhere else before, although I don't think he did, either way, it is just bland. I thought that maybe this might be one of the first stories that he ever wrote as his well known aesthetic and style were barely present, but after I looked it up, this wasn't the case. He had actually published much better stories before, leaving this one as one of the most disappointing stories.
