The It Girl by Ruth Ware

3.0

I have heard good things about this author, and this is my first book from her. I really wanted to like it. It had potential, and it was holding my attention, but the one thing that keeps this from getting a higher rating is the fact that Hannah, the FMC, is probably one of the most annoying characters I've read in a book in a long time.

The book flips back and forth between college and now, which is 10 years later. After Hannah's roommate was murdered, a lot happened. When the man she put in prison dies, she starts wondering if she got it wrong. So her investigation starts, and it goes on and on and on...

The writing is decent, and the characters were developed well, but most of them were annoying, too. The book could have been a lot shorter, which might have helped, but it's probably not one I'd recommend to friends.

3-star book.
