This was a dark and emotional thriller, yet I still wanted more. We follow our main character Paris who is found by the police standing in the bathroom next to her dead husband Jimmy with a razor in her hand. Of course she is being charge with his murder, but we later learn that she might be hiding something similar from her past. This flips back and forth between the past and present but told through different perspectives and this is one of those instances where I preferred to stay in the past because I found that more interesting. There was a point in the story where we stayed in the past so long that I forgot we were trying to figure out the current murder investigation. I wish that we could have seen Paris spend more time with certain characters because of how the story developed and the reveals would have been more meaningful if we could have seen those relationships flourish. I also believe that the ending was a bit rushed and ended a bit to neat. This was my first book by this author and I have heard good things about her books so I look forward to checking out her other work.
