It was okay.

Just okay.

I finished it. So....

Nothing groundbreaking happened nor were there characters that stood out boldly, imploring to be committed to memory even if the plot itself eventually fades from the mind. Didn't happen here. The characters were pretty tolerable at first, gradually weighing down on my nerves with their consistent over-the-top shtick. Firkin was my favorite if only because he was so random. He had some of the funniest dialogue by default of its unexpected delivery.

Our characters come together by circumstance to fight for a similar cause. Our 'hero' Will, his love interest/resident thief Lette and her lizard/barbarian partner Balur, Firkin the insane drunk, and Quirk - mage on the mend. They rally to steal from the oppressive overlords to their realm, the Dragons! Which the reader really doesn't see much of during the course of the story. Just a fleeting view when they aren't planning how to deal with their crew of rebels.

The encounters with these terrifying creatures wasn't that exciting. I wish we would have had a closer glimpse of what they were like. Things got a mite repetitive after a while, the jokes, planning, prep and attack, my interest wanned. There's not much to become invested in.

Or say for that matter. Meh.
