A rollercoaster of emotions, complex characters, i couldn’t stop reading. I felt so deeply for the characters and was completely immersed in Mungo’s world. The roughness interspersed with small hints of tenderness and vulnerability had me sad and hopeful at the same time (I wondered throughout the book if it was false hope, and I don’t think anybody knew) - the glimpses of warmth felt monumental. This book reminded me in many ways of Lisa taddeo’s three women (as we all wish the be seen truly by somebody), and the lonely feeling of the film after sun.
