Aquaman Vol. 2: Amnesty by Kelly Sue DeConnick

5.0

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this is good. You've got this great Lovecraft feel (minus the racism) sprinkled throughout the book, while all the tropes of super heroes and nonsense is there. Mera is really being given a fuller character, which she deserves. And, I can't lie, the way they have Mother Shark lurking in the back ground of panels in the distance at the start is so well done. Who would have ever guessed I would be interested in Aquaman, but DeConnick pulls it off.
