cornerofmadness 's review for:
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
by Lewis Carroll
It occurred to me I had never actually read this but only read excerpts and saw it in movies. I will say Alice is a bit more whiney and judgmental in the book versus the movies but this is exactly what I expected it to be. I knew most of it barring the pepper Duchess and her pig baby and the trial. It's still an inventive story, especially for it's time.
I read it for a banned book prompt (drug use) Alice, the Mad Hatter (who has much less of a role than I expected) the Cheshire cat and all the rest are such a part of the modern psyche, it's worth reading this book for that alone
