Don't Want You Like a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban

3.0

The slowburn is BUUUUUUURNING on this one. I enjoyed the buildup of the story for Gwen and Beth and when things finally happened it was so quick. I do love them together and it's such a fun read but I didn't like the fact that they forgot their original plot from the beginning. It did kind of make up for it but them ending it that way was a tad bit uncomfortable although it's nice to read accepting parents during the Victorian era. But as much as I love Gwen and Beth, I became more invested in the story of their parents. I seriously want to know the whole tea about that! I seriously thought I was not going to read the second book but the epilogue got me sold. A fun quick read for sure!
