Fall Out Toy Works #5 by Pete Wentz

emotional hopeful inspiring reflective sad tense medium-paced

4.0

this series had me saying 'i'm literally going to kill myself if they don't get a happy ending.'

well, i'm alive, aren't i? thank fucking g-d. but it still ended so abruptly.

i wish this series as a whole was longer but i deeply understand why it wasn't. i wish it had more time to flesh out the world and a few characters (tiffany in particular despite her already being well touched upon throughout. i love you robot girl) but the mystique of the universe's lore kinda added to the seat-of-your-pants pace and weirdness of the series. it's purposefully obtuse, which sometimes lends to it being a bit difficult to follow without rereading sections, but i didn't mind; it just allowed me more time to think about the story.

I LOVE TIFFANY. i wish we got to read more from her perspective but i understand why that wasn't the case (for plot related reasons and also, very likely (just being observational here!), real life behind the scenes misogyny). her character journey was easily the most interesting in the entire series.

bonus points for entire series: made me horny. which is always something of a plus.
