The Third Kingdom by Terry Goodkind
3.0
This one is hard to read as it deals with beloved characters. It is definitely better than the Omen machine and more engaging. I love Richard and Kahlan so very much as well as their family and their friends but it is hard not to enjoy reading more about their activities in adventure and tragedy. but I can honestly say that the tone of this novel or this latest chapter in their lives just doesn't carry the same scope as the original mission that Richard and Kahlan faced in uniting the lands together. It doesn't carry the same weight. it isn't, frankly, as inspiring. but again I loved the world that Terry Goodkind created, I love the characters and their heart, so I decided to sit back and enjoy the fact that I was getting to read more about Richard and Kahlan.
There's a lot of action and there is a lot of movement in the story this time. Much more engaging than the Omen machine. And I find that I am very interested to see where the Severed souls book will pick up and lead us.
