Listen for the Lie
by Amy Tintera
a solid 4 stars
Was this the best book ever? Probably not. But did it entertain me to no end? Yes indeed. Even had me in tears at certain points.
I spent a good consecutive four hours just reading this book. I barely put this down to eat and drink water. The way the story is presented is definitely very good, and I love myself a good mystery and a potentially unreliable narrator.
The only thing I’m miffed about though, is WHY does everyone have to be a cheater??? Like literally EVERY character in this story has cheated. I don’t understand why this is normalised. It does spread the suspicion but there are definitely other ways. Taking off one star for the laziness.
