It was an excellent book to get lost in and I'm loving that this was my entrance into Nigerian mythos.
That being said, I'm still confused about how the magic system functions, it felt half formed almost? And the build up to them meeting took ages with the last 2 chapters feeling INSANELY rushed. Not a fan of the pacing or the ambiguous magic system.Like they were expected to take down the Eze with days of training (if even that) and it only took a few paragraphs? I'm confused.
