The Spring Girls by Anna Todd
3.0

I think the thing that makes this modern day adaptation of Little Women so compelling is that instead of the beloved and charming versions of the March women that we’ve been so accustomed to time after time, we get a glimpse into these absolutely riveting and self-absorbed, vain modern versions of them that take the story in completely new and exciting directions. The Spring Girls was more “inspired by” Little Women, than it was a retelling, and from that stand point, it wasn’t a bad story. I Love Little Women and to be honest, this wasn’t Little Women, but it’s own story about sisterhood, family, love, and strength. 3.5 stars.
PS: I read this square to fulfil a reading BINGO square about BACON. Here's the reasoning:
Anna Todd wrote The Spring Girls. She also wrote AFTER which STARRED hero Fiennes Tiffen, who was in The Woman King, which STARRED Viola Davis, who was in Beyond all Boundaries with....Kevin BACON.
