Igraine the Brave by Cornelia Funke

4.0

Enjoyable story, but not one of those incandescent childhood reads that you remember as an adult. I read this aloud to Everett. He really liked it. The main character, Igraine, is great. She is indeed brave, and athletic and active, a strong female but not in a self-conscious "I hate dresses" kind of way. She is simply a kind, strong human. I wish that more of the Sorrowful Knight's story had been explored.
