I really enjoyed diving into the world of Chanda and Beth! I haven't read any of the Click series yet but I plan to now, and I look forward to seeing the overlap of the two worlds and characters.
I love how Beth has a huge heart in this and she puts others before herself. To me, that says a lot coming from a 6th grader! I love how thoughtful she is thinking of her mom and wanting to buy her a special present for her birthday. Chanda is a very determined and opportunistic character and strives for success. I can definitely see her being a business owner (in a future world of Besties of course!) Chanda is trying to prove herself to her parents that she can be responsible and take care of a cat so you follow the two as they explore the world of local jobs and earning money. In the end, after some typical tween hijinks, everything works out for the pair and they learn some things in the process. Definitely recommend checking out this graphic novel!
