HATE HATE HATE. The Rogue One of the Hunger Games. How to we get from A to B without having actually thought it out before either A or B were made.

What utter fan service. I understand that the Hunger Games has always and will always be a story based on politics. But the popularity has gone to her head this was just too much for me in the current political climate.
The things I liked - Mags, Wiress and Beetee's storyline and endings. That is it.
This was entirely fan service, and I hate how you know these are now written to be directly cut from the book to a script for a movie. They lack depth now and all characters who are deemed to be favorites are written to be idealised and heros. Hamish being such a revolutionary girl please.

First thing that annoyed me is that she is no longer following a chronological order it is purely oh you want it yeah let me pluck out a random timeline try fill too much in and not have it really make sense if this was really thought out. I would do anything to have this book be released before the film series even was released then it would have actually served the story and not the fans.
The games were a huge let down. Why have over 40 competitors yet had Hamitch go off solo and be boring as. Least infesting games of any book.

The direct mention and showing of Lucy Gray was ridiculous! The poems, songs or bloody jingle's were excessive and so painful to read.

Find a creative way to refer to "my poster my poster". And please the set up for Plutarch was so forced.

Ultimately, lacked creativity and felt as a way to get to the exact second the original starts, and lacked a depth where you learnt interesting things about the capitol or how the games were. Because if they were really like this then every tribute would have been fitted out with a kill switch and Snow would have ensured Beatie and Haymitch never had anything to do with each other again. Can't wait for this series to be milked dry with another illogical time gap and fan service script to be released.
