Really enjoyed this book. I liked the matter of fact way she writes, without florid language. I enjoyed seeing a family grow and adapt against all odds. The book addresses some hard topics like sexism and racism, in a context different from what we often see in the west.
Moderate: Racism and Racial slurs
Minor: Miscarriage, Torture, and Abortion
