Aubrey is a princess and she's been head over heels in love with her brother's best friend since they were children. And she's been trying to hide it since basically she fell for him. But she hides it badly. Her emotions cause her to act out. Grady isn't much better. He's got a huge crush on Bree, but feels like he's not the kind of guy she should marry (because he's a boat captain, and not a prince). Finally, their families have had enough, and start scheming on how to get them to quite avoiding each other.

I'm a huge fan of the royalty/normie or celeb/normie trope, as well as enemies to lovers, and this had both of those IN SPADES. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I wasn't a huge fan of either Bree or Grady. The writing was great, but I was very annoyed by both the main characters, and couldn't get into them. as individuals. Bree is a Princess blah blah blah, but that kind of attitude from a grown-ass-adult is annoying. Plus, the book went from hate to lust to love really quickly. I wanted more meat! Good, but I wanted more.

I was provided an ARC copy of this book through Netgalley. My thanks to the publisher and the author for providing it to me.
