The Sun is Also a Star is such a heart-wrenching, thought-provoking story that is so spectacular its hard to believe it's contents take place over the course of a single day. The main characters, while a little cheesily obnoxious in their personalities at the start, grow to learn from one another as their backstories and perspectives deepen. The storyline is particularly relatable to me as an immigrant living in America and to have experienced such impactful love through the ties I've made here, with the constant underlying fear that I will have to leave again one day. The morals along following your dreams and learning to love, whilst also recognising that life can take you anywhere and you can't rely on one single aspect, person, or place to determine your future, certainly hit home and make for such interesting reading.
