The Neon Palm of Madame Melancon by Will Clarke

5.0

This book is a great example of what’s wrong with the modern publishing industry. I seem to pick up books frequently that are promoted with tremendous hype and upon reading perhaps garner one or two stars, and here is an author that apparently cannot get published by a large house and the book is phenomenal. Clarke’s writing is quite fantastic and beyond that his storytelling is superb. So naturally when you go to read something else from the guy there’s little to nothing to be found. Just a shame really. Guess I’ll finish this other piece of dreck on my reading list that comes in at 884 pages, comes from a major publishing house, and frankly is dull as shit.
