White Rose Painted Red
by Elena Lawson
This is one wild ride and may have one of the most unique meet cutes I've come across. I can definitely say I haven't read an FMC meeting the MMC by knocking him over with her car before! Seven is an absolute legend; he is so infectious and you can't help but love him. That man is all in from day one and had me from the moment he went to carve a name. Aurora is an interesting FMC too and is a lot more than the broken shell she became after being under Jesse's thumb for so long; there are a couple of bombshell lines that really surprised me and I'm looking forward to filling in the gaps in her past in the next book.
Elijah is my favourite of the MMCs though which really surprised me as he is not my usual type. There is just something about the way this character is written that grabbed my heartstrings and didn't let go! His scene with his father and his backstory reveal to Aurora were some of the most emotional parts of the book for me. I absolutely loved the heist too; it was a perfect blend of action and witty banter and seeing Elijah come back to life was amazing.
Atticus though, what an absolute dodo. And it was all going so well too - bring on book two as I am here for the incoming grovel and for the plan to unfold!
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
