I gave up after 150 pages. I wanted to like this, I think it had a lot of potential to be interesting. The setting and premise were what initially drew me to it, but I feel that it has been hobbled by poor writing. There are far too many sentences composed almost entirely of poorly explained, made up terms.
Maybe I'll try again at some point.
