Cakes in Space by Philip Reeve

4.0

My son plucked this randomly from the library shelf and it ended up being a really fun read. A girl and her family are traveling to a new planet and things go haywire when the girl, astra, orders the ultimate cake from a machine called the nom-o-tron. The machine churns out some crazy cakes that come alive leading to unexpected adventures. This was silly fun and a fast read. Appropriate for 5 and up,
