it always impresses me when a book is much more complex than you might think when you hear just the premise. here, the story follows a girl who watches the three women living opposite her and has a variety of thoughts about them that turn into an obsession. i thought the narrator was very intriguing - how she imagined the women's lives, ended up obsessively watching them to the point where they were on her mind practically all the time, and the way she eventually interacted with the women. her psychology is super interesting for sure and so is her relationship with her family ^^ i also thought the style and atmosphere were amazing, a big part of why i liked this so much. this was a very unique story and i loved it ♡
