I read this story before I really got into the habit of writing reviews, and it's a shame because this story remains one of my favorite books of all time. It's the dark dystopian romance of my dreams. I wish that everyone would give this story a chance because it's one of the most beautiful, thought-provoking books I've ever read with the one of the purest romances I've ever encountered. It remains, to this day, tied with my other all time favorite dystopian romance, Land of the Beautiful Dead by R. Lee Smith. The world building is perfection. If you have no triggers, I cannot recommend this story enough.
