The King
After being introduced to Damon during the Endgame Trilogy, I was looking forward to his story. During that series, he was an ever present force and I was desperate to find out what lurked beneath his darkness.
He fulfilled all my expectations. And more! He is not just dark, he is blacker than the deepest pits of hell. I think I kind of love him!
Penny was a worthy opponent for Damon. She was strong and feisty. Stripped of her childhood, puts her in the unenviable position of having to grow up too soon. Coupled with her intelligence, I sometimes forgot just how young she was.
Some of the time line crosses with the Endgame Trilogy and I enjoyed seeing those events from a completely different perspective.
