Kaleb by Nicole Edwards

After reading Ethan, I decided I should read this series from the beginning. Curtis and Lorrie Walker are the kind of parents I wish I would have had. They love each other fiercely and they love their children unconditionally -- without being saccharine. It's a beautiful thing.

Kaleb is the third son (of seven!!!) of Curtis and Lorrie. And they sure knew how to breed them because all seven sons are tall, broad and mighty fine. They're protective of those they care about and look out for each other.

Kaleb and Zoey have been best friends for 20 years or so, always hanging out together, etc. Kaleb even took Zoey to the prom -- as friends. For years, they've each been hiding how they feel about the other. Silly people. All that time wasted. Anyhow, they finally come to their senses and start seeing one another.

When they finally come together, the sex is hawt. Oh my. And Kaleb expands Zoey's sexual horizons quite a bit, too, by inviting Gage to join them a time or five. I nearly needed a fire extinguisher.

Kaleb is a really good start to this series, I think. We get to know the Walker brothers as well as their parents a bit and also Zoey's BFF Vanessa, and the set up for the next book, Zane, is done as well. And I am glad I didn't have to wait for Zane to come out before finding out what happened there. Would have driven me a bit nuts, I think.
