Love Me by Ashley N. Rostek

I usually don't do cover-buy's. I know too well what I like and don't like to get caught in that trap. However, for these books I made an exception. I had no idea what to expect of the story. I also had no idea if I would like it or not. I just had to have these books because they're so insanely pretty. And quite surprisingly I actually really loved and enjoyed the first two books, despite them being unrealistic as hell, so I was looking forward to dive into the third.

What a thrilling ride was this! Just like the previous books the book started out relatively calm. There is a lot of room for the relationships, for developing them, for making that connecting between those characters stronger, for showing us how they start trusting each other more and more and for them communicating (or not) about what they feel. But towards the end of the book the book got more and more intense. I don't wanna know what my heart-rate was during the finale.

And the most brilliant part is that the author really built up towards that finale. We experienced how our heroine was slowly panicking more and more often, noticing that things were changing, that something was wrong. We do feel her paranoia and know that she might tell herself that it's paranoia, but that of course she has a good reason for it. And we slowly see how everything that has happened to her is coming back to haunt her.

What I also really loved, and wasn't expecting, was reading what has happened to her family from our heroine's perspective. Not just as a flashback. Not just as her telling the guys about it. But as an actual chapter where we're there with her. And the author does such a great job putting all those emotions and fear and adrenaline in. It was far from pretty and the next book will for sure also be far from pretty, but it's such an amazing reading experience!

I can't wait for the final book to be released!
