Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice: 4.5/5 

ok knew it was gonna be super good before reading, and i’m really glad it lived up to that expectation. the dialogue is a bit clunky  between people but i mean conveyed what needed to be said. the flow between POVs worked well to provide a well rounded experience of the whole community. the building tension and fear was done sooo well, like even though you can kinda tell where things were going, the horror of it being confirmed just hit. i’m not that keen on the idea of a sequel but nonetheless gonna check it out.
