The Front Runner by Elsie Silver
medium-paced
3.5
Originally I wasn’t going to read this one and jump to the last one. I didn’t like Stefan at all in “A Photo Finish” and was convinced I would continue disliking him in “The Front Runner”. But me being me I needed to get more info on him before I could completely hate him so I figured I would give it a shot and if I hated it I would DNF. Well… I finished it. Did I love it? No. But I did really start to like the guy. I wasn’t a fan of how he spoke like a rich asshole but there are times when he doesn’t and those are the times he had me swooning. I loved how Stefan and Mira were when they got around each other. Their banter was so fun and you could tell she wasn’t convinced he was a “bad guy” from the very beginning. I did get bored quite a bit while reading and that’s why my rating is on the lower side. Towards the end I had tears so that was a nice surprise. I’m glad I read it so now I can read the next one!!!
