In the beginning I was SO confused and it had this weird metaphors, but after a while I really got into the story and started caring for the characters! It was really intense and had some really good plottwists! I was pretty sad when it was over but I'm going to read the sequel soon. A thing that I have mixed feelings about are the footnotes, a part of me feels like they are a lazy way of world building and another part of my really enjoyed the random ones and the humor in them. I also still have some questions about the world and how the republic is ruled, but overall I really enjoyed this wild ride!
