Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

5.0

This book had me gripped right from the start! I was scared of not liking the protagonist but. oh. my. god. Amani is easily one of my all time fave female protagonists. So sassy, Intelligent and most importantly that girl knows what to do with a gun. I adored the writing style of Alwyn and the world she built with some old middle eastern tales and so. much. foreshadowing. Seriously, if you enjoyed A Thousand Night or any Arabian themed novel this book will grip you. It is refreshingly new and never been done before. I mean, Wild West meets Arabian Nights? SIGN ME UP!
Alwyn, you've killed me. There's so much more I must know and now that I've read it, I cannot, SERIOUSLY, cannot wait till February 2016 for everyone else to read this jewel of a book.
P.s. There's this guy called Jin. He's beautiful and sassy and GAH. Me in love. I cannot articulate words. This is gonna be another period of time where I'll be stuck in a world of Djinnis and Demdji. (not that I don't mind....)
