I already knew what was in store for me at the end of this novella, so I knew to expect heartbreak. However, my heart didn't break as I was expecting, which in part I am grateful for.
I liked reading about Celeana in the past, before Endovier and all that happened after. Reading about her in the past, and comparing her to what she's become now, makes me feel so proud of her. She has suffered a lot, has been betrayed, has lost hope, but she still comes back from all that stronger.
I was liking and loving Sam, but in the last short story, he started to annoy me somehow. I guess that's why my heart didn't break for him as I was expecting. Even still, he truly didn't deserve that ending when all he wanted was to be happy and have a life with Celeana.
Anyway, now it is time for me to continue reading this series, so Queen of Shadows, here I come!
