Garth Marenghi's TerrorTome by Garth Marenghi

1.0

The book stayed very truthful to the idea of being written by an inept horror writer. It's fun for 3 pages and then it get's exhausting.

A lot of similar jokes in Darkplace work because you have an excellent cast who really deliver the lines, and some of them don't act: they just tell the truth. In addition to that you had great set design and campy special effects to round everything off. If you take all that away you're just stuck with bad writing and nothing which makes it work, i.e. TerrorTome.

You're better off with just rewatching Darkplace for the gazillonth time. Trust me, I've written more reviews about books than I have read.
