Throne of the Horde King by Zoey Draven

5.0

Excellent end to the series. Reminded me a lot of book 2 (my favorites Seerin + Nelle) in tone and style.

strong FMC // chosen one // fated mates // banter // tension // possessive // suspicion + secrets // broken trust + heartbreak // groveling // HEA

Kara is a human/Dakkari hybrid - the first of her kind - raised in a temple away from the eyes of men. The strength, the character, the determination of Kara is powerful. She knew what had to be done and bravely met the obstacles; even when she knew her heart would break.

Once the series arc resolved, I would have liked to see the altercation between Arik and the High Priestess with regards to Kara, as well as more dialogue between Arik + Kira at the climactic part of their relationship. The time jump makes it feel like she caves far too easily considering the degree of hurt she carries. Regardless, I absolutely loved it and I’m sad for the series to come to end. It holds a place on my favorites list.
