A son of a hockey legend and an NHL prospect himself, Maverick seems to have a charmed life. All he has to do is make it through his senior year. That's exactly what he plans to do. Then, he realizes that his recent one-night stand is his professor—just one more complication to deal with in his not-so-charmed life.

Oh, Maverick! đź’” From Little Lies, we knew there was so much more to your story. We only saw glimpses of your complexity and what makes you such a great man and brother. But now we know! And, your struggles … we had no idea that you were hiding the fact that you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders behind your jokes and beautiful smile. You are such a selfless protector.

I’m so glad Clover floated into your life. On paper, the two of you appear to have nothing in common. Yet, you are perfect for each other. Only she could give you all the love and understanding you so deserve and be your catalyst for healing.

I didn’t think Little Lies could be topped. However, like Little Lies, Bitter Sweet Heart has instantly become one of my all-time favorites. This incredible, moving story will stay with me for a long time. To say I loved Bitter Sweet Heart is an understatement!
