The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
3.0

The Fault in Our Stars is very Dawson's Creeky, specifically with it's adjectival usage, but it's still a good quick read. The story is clearly doomed to end in a way that will make the reader well up, if not full on cry. It was nice to read a story about two people that really care about one another, even if you know things will not end well, and it was nice that the book wasn't too sentimental. I haven't read a lot of books about cancer patients with cliche cancer tropes, but I still appreciated the fact that John Green created a character that seemed more honest about the whole thing.
