Maggie Rawdon's first step into the western romance genre is a touchdown (this makes sense because the MMC was a pro in the NFL). I mean, this literally is the perfect mash up of dark romance x western romance x sports romance x romantic suspense.

You think at first this is considered dark romance because the MMC was recently in prison for murder but there are definitely hints of dark romance throughout the whole book. And then you get to chapter 43. It's not hardcore dark romance, but it's still messed up. And it's 🥵🥵 I mean, that chapter solidified Ramsey as my new favorite Maggie Rawdon man.

I loved the passion between Ramsey and Hazel. I mean, she hates him so much, and the opposite of love isn't hate. It's indifference. And Hazel is definitely not indifferent to Ramsey. And honestly, Ramsey would infuriate me too. That man's indecent proposal is insanity, but I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT. 👏👏 And the way she tries to push all his buttons? Yes, they are perfect for each other.

And then the epilogue. Omg. It left me wanting more, but in the best way possible! I can't wait to see where this romantic suspense and dark romance era take Maggie. This has become my favorite book of hers, and I'll be needing every edition to showcase on my shelves ASAP.
