Hits a lot of tropes I love in a mystery - boarding school setting, secret societies, female friendships - but the main character Kersti is so massively annoying with her fertility journey, and her relationship with Cressida is kind of sociopathic. The revelations at the end were dark and tragic, which might've been tolerable except they seemed to perpetuate some outdated beliefs around queerness.
