I wouldn't likely have picked this book on my own except I was looking at the suspense/thrillers that were available now to download from my local library and this one popped up.
It's just before the 12/21, supposedly when the Mayan calendar ends and the world is doomed to end when a museum curator (Mayan herself) comes into possession of an ancient artifact. Soon she finds out the man who brought this from Guatemala is sick, literally from not sleeping he has gone insane. Then others start to get this strange disease too....
She finds herself with a scientist trying to help fight this strange disease....is this the way that humanity with end by 12/21?!
