2 States: The Story of My Marriage by Chetan Bhagat
3.0
Chetan Bhagat has written a captivating, hilarious and adorable love story revolving around the divide in cultures and our lack of acceptance of cultural diversity. Both the female and male leads are believable in an unbelievable sort of way, I mean I don't really know if people like that exist yet they seemed real. Although the book had a great story and entertaining characters the ending seemed a little weak and a little too easy but eh you can't really hold it against him since the book is semi- autobiographical. Even with all these pluses the biggest letdown about the book was that it lacked in literary value but I guess that's why all the not at all avid readers ( almost all Indians) enjoyed it. It lacked complicated English and big difficult words so it was a quick read. Nevertheless I enjoyed the book but I do not count it as one of my favorites.
