I liked this book, but the writing didn’t quite catch me the way some other books do.
I love the plot and the character developments, but it wasn’t really natural to read for some reason. I couldn’t really place myself in the shoes of the maincharacters Vivi and Scarlett.
Something what bothered me at the beginning was the defining of skin colours. It shouldn’t be necessary to explain the colours of characters in such a way.
Thrilling plot by the way! That’s what I liked the most! The white and dark magic battling each-other.
I guess the book felt a bit rushed in a way, but overall it was a great book to read when you’re quarantined for the weekend.
