Agnes Grey by Anne Brontë
3.0

Eh. It was ok. No Jane Eyre. Anne is clearly a talented writer, like her sisters, and her prose is lovely, but I just didn't like the character very much. Agnes is just too meek and passive, which the author obviously considers to be positive virtues, but by the end of the novel I could hardly stand one more description of her being a doormat yet again. Just stand up to someone, just once! Oh well, it was still worth the read, just not my favorite.
